DOMESTIC

Bathroom project

We removed a badly laid out old bathroom and installed a brand new replacement. This involved:

The removal of all tiles, walls and flooring
The rerouting of pipework
The re-boarding of walls
Re-plastering
The installation of a new free-standing bath, toilet, basin, shower and enclosure
Re-tiling, sealant work and paintwork

Heating system project

Here we designed and installed a completely new and efficient heating system. It was tailored to the unique needs of the client and included a new bathroom as well as pipework and 12 radiators. The old, obsolete system was removed in the process.

We also installed a 26kW Grant system boiler, a 1200l bunded oil tank and a 210l pressurised hot water cylinder. Together, this provided the house with an efficient and effective new heating system, incorporating smart heating controls and high-pressure hot water.

COMMERCIAL

Remedial work at a care home

A survey of the care home’s thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) was carried out. TMVs reduce the temperature of hot water taps and are particularly effective in places like care homes and schools because they help protect vulnerable people.

Two of our engineers were tasked with the installation and commission of 40 new TMVs for the care home’s wash basins and communal facilities.

Each valve had to be checked and documented as part of the TMV servicing checklist. All temperatures were recorded and set at 39.5 degrees Celsius and each valve passed the safety shut-off test.

The work was carried out around the client and the care services they provide.
